Hence, for our monthly business networking event, OB PANACEA, we called Mr. Arun Bhaud who is well known speaker on Stress Management. Mr. Arun is an IT Professional with over 13 years of experience and conducts Stress Management workshops using REBT techniques for Corporates and Schools. This session was held at our Arihant Aura centre in Turbhe, Navi Mumbai. We also have our coworking and serviced office centers in multiple locations in Navi Mumbai, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
From this session we understood that stress reactions include a wide range of symptoms that can manifest through physical, emotional, behavioral and cognitive signs.
This Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) technique is an approach that helps you in identifying beliefs that are irrational and patterns of negative thoughts which may lead to emotional and behavioral issues. Once you identify these patterns you can develop strategies to replace these thoughts with rational thought patterns.
REBT is based on the ABC principles which are explained as follows:
- A refers to Activating event or situation that triggers a negative reaction
- B is the Beliefs or irrational thoughts you might have about an event or situation
- C refers to Consequences, often the distressing emotions, that result from the irrational thoughts or beliefs
